West Lancashire District Council
SCOPE
Project scope
West Lancashire District Council reached out to Enviroheat after seeing the products at the Chartered Institute of Housing conference, Europe’s largest housing festival.
West Lancashire District Council had a section of properties needing their heating and hot water systems replaced with a much more dynamic, user-friendly, and efficient heating and hot water system.
The properties were low-rise apartment blocks containing storage heaters and vented economy 7 cylinders which were coming to the end of their working life. Customers were struggling with insufficient heat and hot water alongside a lack of water pressure/flow rate from the hot water cylinder.
SOLUTION
The solution
Enviroheat surveyed the properties and suggested a switch from a gravity-fed copper cylinder to stainless steel pressurized unvented EconoCylinder, guaranteeing a much more efficient, consistent, and faster flow of water pressure. To replace storage heaters, the EconoRad and wireless multi-zonal room thermostats were selected.
FEEDBACK
The feedback
After installation of a much more dynamic, user-friendly, and efficient heating and hot water system, customers reported multiple improvements including:
- Greater control over their heating and hot water systems.
- A much better rate of water pressure
- Longer lasting hot water
- A much higher level of thermal comfort
- Elimination of condensation which had previously caused health concerns
